Well I think this horse portrait is completed! I will leave it overnight, or rather bring it from room to room with me and stare at it throughout the evening, to see if anything jumps out at me.
I am quite happy with the final result and she was a pleasure to paint. I love painting animals, especially horses, and this one looks so sweet from her photos so I hope I have captured her sweetness.
Then if my client is happy with it, I will ship it off to the other end of Canada to be placed under the Christmas tree :)

Nicely done. I really enjoyed each post, though I was supposed to be staying off the interwebs (I'm a failure). Decided not to do a background?
Thanks Andrea :) Lol I don't even try to pretend that I am staying off the interwebs, everyone I know already knows I am too weak ;)
Hope to see you at the FCA party on Friday ;)
I plan to be there! Unless it snows, that is...
Bite your tongue!
Wow what a finish Tracey, Just smashing work!!!! I have to show this beauty to my friend Sandra in Denmark who has a horse. She will love it! Wishing u a great weekend!
Thanks so much Lisa :) She was really so much fun to paint to as her colors are just beautiful. My client is very happy with it online as well so he is going to love it when it arrives as it is much richer in real life :)
Hi Tracey!
I looked through your site and really enjoyed it. The step-by-step of the horse portrait is a great idea.
Ingrid
